Our Story: Daffan Cooling & Heating Since 1999
David Daffan began his journey in HVAC at just 18 years old, working alongside his uncle and learning the trade from the ground up. When the business began in 1999, David was Daffan’s very first service technician. Through hard work, dedication, and a passion for doing things the right way, he quickly moved into the role of Service Manager and then Co-Owner when his uncle sold the business in 2010.
Grounded in Christian values and a genuine desire to serve the community well, David helped guide Daffan to become the largest residential HVAC company in the Granbury area, earning an A+ BBB rating and being voted “Best AC Company in Hood County” for more than 16 years running. In 2021, after his business partner retired, David became the sole owner of the company that bears his family name.

Growing up in Glen Rose, David’s initial aspirations were to work as a Police Officer. Daffan Cooling & Heating opened its doors in 1999, and at the age of 18, David helped his family build the business from the ground up. After attending Mary Hardin Baylor for a time, he decided to focus on HVAC. He switched gears and studied HVAC and Refrigeration Maintenance Technology at nearby Hill College located in Cleburne.12 years later, after his uncle retired, he became Vice President and co-owner of Daffan Cooling & Heating. Then in 2021 after his business partner retired, he became the sole proprietor of the company bearing his family name.

Shanee was born and raised right here in Granbury, Texas, and is a proud Granbury High School graduate. She grew up around Daffan Cooling & Heating, serving in various roles before pursuing college with plans to become a registered nurse and work as a private caregiver for the elderly. After marrying and becoming a mom, her heart shifted to being home full time, and she spent 12 years raising her two boys.
As a mom, Shanee is passionate about hiring team members she would trust in her own home and around her family, and she cares deeply about helping families enjoy clean indoor air, especially as a momma of an allergy sufferer. Today, as Daffan’s Marketing and Culture Director, nothing brings her more joy than pouring into the Daffan team, supporting the community, and creating lasting comfort for your family.

Doc and Dug are our beloved golden retrievers and the heart behind our mascot, “Your Home’s Best Friend.” These two friendly boys represent everything we want your experience with Daffan Cooling & Heating to feel like: loyal, warm, gentle, and dependable.
We chose a golden retriever as our mascot because goldens are known for their kindness, patience, and steady presence. That’s exactly how we believe an HVAC company should serve you. Just like a good family dog, we want to be the ones you trust in and around your home, who show up when you need help, and who are always glad to see you.
